Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering in China is a journal sponsored by Higher Education Press and Tsinghua University of China. It is issued overseas by Springer-Verlag of Germany. The Editorial Office is located in School of Environment, Tsinghua University. The editorial board of the journal is organized by outstanding scholars with strong academic background from China and other countries, and the Editor-in-Chief is Prof. Qian Yi of Tsinghua University.

The journal is created in February, 2007. It is published quarterly in February, May, August, and November.

Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering in China includes strictly peer-reviewed articles covering a broad blend of authoritative reviews and research articles. It is an ideal platform for students, professors, investigators, and strategists in international academe to keep abreast of the rapidly growing and substantial achievements in environmental disciplines of China.

The journal has been included in the SCI database from 3(1), 2009.

Aims & scope

Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering in China seeks to provide a forum for abroad blend of peer-reviewed academic papers in order to promote rapid communication and exchange between environmental disciplines in China and abroad. Its coverage includes all main branches of environmental disciplines. It consists of high level authoritative critical reviews, research papers, policy analyses, and short communications. Highlights of pioneering progresses are especially welcome in developing and promising fields and the interaction fields between environmental disciplines and other disciplines, and in the fields of much importance to China, for example, environmental pollution control. The journal is strictly peer-reviewed and accepts only original submissions in English.

Description

Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering in China is a quarterly journal. Its peer-reviewed contents consist of a broad blend of reviews, research papers, policy analyses, and short communications. The “hot topic” column features a review article followed by a couple of relevant research articles. The invited authors of the feature review article are usually well known Chinese or international experts. Subject areas covered by this journal include all main branches of environmental science and engineering. The journal emphasizes papers in developing fields, as well as papers showing the interaction between environmental disciplines and other disciplines, and papers in fields of much importance to China, such as environmental pollution control.
