Beyond the page | All aboard Tsinghua’s ship of knowledge

Books are filled with surprising and unique knowledge that may wonder you at times.

With less than twenty days until Tsinghua University's 110th anniversary, let's explore what Tsinghua's "ship of knowledge" has to offer and the unchartered waters that await future generations.

Here's a video that showcases Tsinghua's close relationship with books across the "vast seas of time".

Francis Bacon once said, “Books are ships which pass through the vast seas of time.”

As passengers of these “ships”, we embark on endless journeys for the pursuit of never-ending knowledge.

We can learn the wisdom of our ancestors from a book 2500 years ago -- the Suan Biao in the Tsinghua Bamboo Slips, the world’s first decimal multiplication table.

As this voyage continues, some may stay, some may go, some may even build new “ships” for future generations to benefit from. But no matter what happens, knowledge will be passed from generation to generation.
