Arrangements for student campus entry/exit and Winter vacation

In light of the current epidemic situation, according to the requirements of upper authorities, the present arrangements for students entering and exiting the campus and leaving and returning to the university for the Winter vacation are as follows.

Management of students entering and exiting the campus
The principle that students should not leave the campus unless necessary shall be strictly implemented. From December 28, students will need to obtain approval before they can enter or exit the campus, and their relevant documentation shall be checked at the campus gate. Students who have exited the campus without approval must provide a nucleic acid test negative certificate obtained within 7 days before they can enter the campus.

Students who reside outside the campus are not permitted to enter the campus unless necessary. Those who are allowed to enter the campus after approval must provide their Beijing Health Kit green health code or nucleic acid test negative certificate obtained within 7 days before they can enter the campus. To enter or leave the campus, students are required to submit an application in advance on the "Application for Exit and Entry of the Campus for Students" (学生进出校审批) system via the "online service system" (在线服务系统). This approval system is expected to re-open on December 27. Campus entry and exit management for students living in the Shuangqing Apartment (双清公寓) will be arranged separately.

Arrangements for students leaving and returning to the university
The 2020-2021 Winter vacation is from January 11 to February 21 (6 weeks in total) for undergraduate students and from January 14 to February 19 (5 weeks in total) for postgraduate students. During the winter vacation, the approval system for campus entry and exit will be implemented, and in principle each students will only be approved once, to reduce unnecessary personnel flow. During the winter vacation, no centralized accommodation will be arranged. And after leaving the campus for the Winter vacation, students’ access to the dormitory will be suspended. After returning to campus from the vacation, students living in local student apartments should go to the service desk of C Building to re-activate their dormitory access, and international students should go to the general service desk of the Zijing International Student Apartments in Building 19 to re-activate their dormitory access.

For the Winter vacation, students are required to submit an application in advance on the "students leaving of Beijing" (学生离京审批) system via the "online service system" (在线服务系统) and can only return to campus after receiving approval from their school/department. During the Winter vacation, due to potential changes in personal location and other key information, all students should update and report their personal status via the “Students Health and Location Report" (daily report), and for international students via the “International Students Health and Location Report" (daily report) in the "online service system" (在线服务系统). The "students leaving Beijing" (学生离京审批)application system on the online service system will be updated to the "students leaving the campus and Beijing" (学生离校离京审批) application system.

In principle, students in epidemic low-risk areas should return to campus according to the university schedule to complete required tasks such as registration for the new semester. In principle, students in epidemic middle and high risk areas should not return to campus, and can return to campus only when the risk is reduced to low level. Students are required to submit an application in advance on the "students return to campus" application system (学生返校申请) via the "online service system" (在线服务系统), and can only return to campus after receiving approval from their school/department. If a student requires to delay their return to the university, they should go through the application for leave procedures according to relevant provisions of student status management, and complete registration later according to relevant requirements.

Health and safety tips
(1) Stick to the principle of not leaving the campus unless necessary, not leaving Beijing unless necessary, not gathering in groups unless necessary, and not going to epidemic high risk areas unless necessary.
(2) Keep good health habits, wear a mask, wash hands frequently, keep the indoor living environment well ventilated and clean, maintain social distancing in public places, and strengthen personal health monitoring.  
(3) During the Winter vacation, reduce unnecessary travel, and simplify travel itineraries. Maintain a high degree of personal protection whilst travelling.
(4) Pay close attention to relevant requirements of epidemic prevention and control in your local jurisdiction, and actively report personal information to the local community and the disease control center as required.
(5) In case of the epidemic or other personal special circumstances, promptly report to your school/department.  
If there are any changes in the epidemic situation or new regulations and requirements by upper authorities, the university management policy will be adjusted accordingly, and new notice will be issued and observed.
