With the support of Tsinghua One Belt One Road Research Institution, Youth League Committee, Global Competence Center and overseas branch of SABRI, it organized several Insight BRI Trip to Pakistan and Nepal in summer and winter holidays from 2019-2020. The team was granted gold prize for social practice.
The main purposes of the social practice are:
1) to improve the global competence of team members; 2) to promote cultural communications between China and Pakistan.
In doing research, team members formed six groups and finished six research reports from 76 selected topics. The reports, among which four were written in Chinese and two in English, covering subjects including Chinese enterprises' participation and gender equality issue in Pakistan, have all gone through strict procedures of opening, mid-term and conclusion guided by school instructors.
The team also had fruitful achievements in terms of publicity. They publicized in various forms including news reports, thematic videos, and written materials which have been reported twice by national media, generating impressive social impact. More notably, the team also drew local media’s attention-four of them reported on it which helped expand our overseas influence. In addition to regular vlogs, we also conducted street interviews and produced an elaborate micro-video, "China in the eyes of Pakistani youth" which was released on china.com and Tsinghua University's international Education platform to help Chinese people better understand Pakistan.
