Professor Michael Arthur, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Leeds in U.K. and Professor Stephen Scott, Pro-Vice-Chancellor for staff and students, visited Tsinghua on November 9. Tsinghua Vice President Xie Weihe had a talk with the guests.

During the talk, the two sides gave an outline of their respective universities and discussed future cooperation.

Professor Arthur paid visits to the School of Sciences and the School of Journalism and Communication after the talk.

Professor Michael Arthur became Vice-Chancellor of the University of Leeds in September of 2004.
