Mr. Michael L. Eskew, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of UPS, Visited Tsinghua on September 10. Chen Guoqing, Vice President of School of Economics and Management, met and talked with Mr. Eskew.
After the talk, Mr. Eskew delivered a speech titled “the Global Supply Chain and How It Is Transforming Business in China and the World” in School of Economics and Management and answered the questions raised by the seated students.
Mr. Eskew became Chaiman and Chief Executive Officer in January 2002. In addition to his corporate responsibilities, Mr. Eskew is a Trustee of the UPS Foundation and the Annie E. Casey Foundation, which is the country’s largest foundation dedicated to disadvantaged youth. In 2003, Mr. Eskew was appointed to the President’s Export Council and was elected chairman of the U.S.-China Business Council in 2004. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the 3M Corporation and is a member of the Business Roundtable.
UPS is the world’s largest package delivery company and a global leader in supply chain services.
