Wang Yifu, a student of School of Economics and Management in Tsinghua University, won the men’s 10m air pistol gold medal in Athens, Greece on August 14, 2004. Wang totaled 690 points for the title, creating a new Olympic record. It is the second gold medal for the Chinese Olympic Delegation and the second gold medal at the Athens Olympic Games.

Wang has taken part in Olympic Games for six times since 1984. The gold medal at the Athens Olympic Games is the second gold medal he won in the Olympics.
