A contest was held between Tsinghua diving team and German student diving team in Tsinghua University on July 30.

The contest will last for three days. The athletes will contended for champions in events such as synchronized diving 3m springboard Men, synchronized diving 3m springboard Women, synchronized diving 10m platform Men, synchronized diving 10m platform Women, 3m springboard Men, 3m springboard Women, 10m platform Men, 10m platform Women, and the general.

In July of 2003, Tsinghua diving team took part in a contest with German student diving team in Germany on invitation. Tsinghua diving team won 7 champions in 10 individual evens. The contest held this year is a return contest of the contest in 2003. Mr. Nitsche,learder of the Sports Federation of University, Germany, Dr. Rauhut, Rector of RWTH Aachen and Tsinghua Vice President Gong Ke attended the opening ceremony.

Tsinghua diving team was set up in 1997, with Yu Fen, the former vice general coach of the national team as its general coach and Xu Yiming, the former general coach of the national team as its consultative general coach. Tsinghua diving team has made great achievements in the past seven years. Team members such as Qing Mingxia, Li Chengwei, He Wei, Xiong Jingqing, He Zi won champions in many contests.
