The curtain fell on the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province, on Sunday, with athletes from various nations having delivered riveting performances that exemplify the spirit of sport.

Six athletes from Tsinghua University and one alumna yielded an impressive medal haul of 5 gold, 4 silver, and 2 bronze, across four events.

The participating individuals, stemming from various undergraduate classes, showcased not only their athletic prowess, but also the robust sporting culture cultivated within the institution.

Notably, the second gold of Zheng Weitong, a 2020-enrolled undergraduate from Tsinghua School of Economics and Management, marked the 200th in total for the Chinese delegation—a historic record for the country at the Asian Games.

The valiant efforts and notable accomplishments of Tsinghua's athletes resonate although the Games drew to a triumphant conclusion, embodying relentless spirit and sportsmanship.
